Batting Masterclass – Part 1

Here is another free video I found on YouTube.
This is part of the Channel 9 series filmed many years ago.
The principle of batting are the same today.

  1. Batting Grip – A young Michael Slater takes you through the basics of the batting grip.
  2. Batting Stance – The batting stance is one of the most important basisc to get right when batting.
Slats gives you all the basics to build a stance to score big runs on.
  3. Eye on ball – Keeping your eye on the ball well help you avoid bouncers.
  4. Using your feet – Using your feet can help you overcome any bowling
  5. Backfoot shots – Slat gives you all the tips to play back foot shot like Ricky Ponting
  6. Frontfoot shots – Attacking or defending the key is good footwork and position.
  7. Cut Shot – Probably Michael Slater’s best shot.
