CNSW is the peak sporting organisation responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of cricket throughout NSW.

The High Performance (HP) Department is responsible for the development of junior cricketers through a number of programs – Emerging Blues, Emerging Breakers, NSW U19, NSW U17 and NSW U15 Teams.

The HP Department is calling for expressions of interest for the Head Coach of Emerging Breakers Programs. Currently, we have 10 Emerging Breakers programs:

  1. Metropolitan Sydney U13
  2. Metropolitan Sydney U14
  3. Metropolitan Sydney U15
  4. Metropolitan Sydney U17
  5. Riverina
  6. Illawarra/Southern
  7. Western
  8. Central Coast/Newcastle
  9. Central North
  10. North Coast

The principle of batting are the same today.

  1. Batting Grip – A young Michael Slater takes you through the basics of the batting grip.
  2. Batting Stance – The batting stance is one of the most important basisc to get right when batting.
    Slats gives you all the basics to build a stance to score big runs on.
  3. Eye on ball – Keeping your eye on the ball well help you avoid bouncers.
  4. Using your feet – Using your feet can help you overcome any bowling
  5. Backfoot shots – Slat gives you all the tips to play back foot shot like Ricky Ponting
  6. Frontfoot shots – Attacking or defending the key is good footwork and position.
  7. Cut Shot – Probably Michael Slater’s best shot.
